Amberlight Leisure - Frequently Asked Questions

Bouncy Castles

How do I book?

Please call us on 08740 955 575 to book. We will be happy to discuss your personal requirements and assist with your choice.

What does the hire include?

All Amberlight Leisure hires include local delivery. We will set up the castle and ground-sheet (if required), fan blower, circuit breaker, extension cable, safety mats and pegs. If it is an indoor booking, we provide heavy sand bags instead of pegs. A safety check will be made and safety instruction leaflet given to you before leaving. The hire also includes collection.

What is the cost of hire?

Please look at our bouncy castle pages to check our current prices.

When should I book?

We strongly recommend you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. You can even book on the day you want a castle, as we may have some available.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes we do. Amberlight Leisure is insured for £5 million Public Liability Insurance on its castles. They are also tested to RPII (Register of Play Inspectors International) standard. Our operators have been registered and examined by RPII for your safety.

Can the castles be hired for indoors?

Yes they can. Please check the height and space of the venue before booking to see if it will fit. Be aware of any low hanging lights or suspended ceilings.

How long is the hire for?

We start our outdoor deliveries from 8:00am and collect from 6:00pm. The hire price remains the same for indoor hire e.g. in a hall or function room. Delivery to and collection from the venue, will be made at their specified time.

What happens if it rains?

We will call you in the morning to see if you still wish to hire. Most of our castles have rain / sun covers. If it is light rain or small showers there should not be a problem and we will supply you with drying towels. In adverse weather or heavy winds we cannot set up the castle due to health and safety reasons.

What do I need to do before the castle arrives?

Please make sure you have suitable access. Your castle will arrive rolled up and delivered on a sack trolley, so access needs to be a minimum of 3ft wide. We can deliver a castle through a house, providing we have the homeowners permission. Ensure there are no obstacles and sharp objects in the way or where the castle is to be sited. We will require a mains power socket no more than 25 metres away from the unit. If it is an outdoor hire, check for any overhead power cables or other dangerous obstacles (e.g. tree branches or high fences). We can only set up on grass or firm earth, for safety reasons.

Can I hire the castle overnight?

Under certain circumstances this can be arranged. Please let us know your requirements when booking. If you do hire overnight, the bouncy castle will be your full responsibility and must be kept in a secure garden or suitable building.

What is the set up time?

Set up usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes and 15 to 25 minutes to take away. This can vary from delivery to delivery.

How much space do I need?

You will need a minimum of 6ft at the front / opening of the castle and at least 3ft either side. Access will also be needed for the fan blower to be installed at the back. Unfortunately we cannot set up on a slope more than 5 degrees, due to health and safety regulations.

What is the cost to run a bouncy castle?

Bouncy castles usually cost approximately 10 pence per hour to run.

Do you have an age limit for your castles?

We recommend our castles are only used by children up to the age of 12 years.

Do you discount for multiple hires?

We certainly do! If you hire more than one item on the same day, we will arrange a discount. You can hire a castle and hot tub together, or perhaps a castle and disco. Whatever you want, we will be more than happy to accommodate.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver across the Fylde.

Hot Tubs

What does the hire include?

The tub will be delivered to your home. We will set out the matting and inflate the tub then begin to fill it with water. While this is taking place, we will instruct you on how to operate the control pod. Dont worry, it's easier than you think. We also provide a circuit breaker, along with insulated cover to prevent loss of heat in the hot tub.

You will be supplied with sufficient cleaning chemicals to use in the water, for your 3 night hire.

When your hot tub experience is over, we will return and drain the tub. Unlike some of our competitors there is no extra charge for this service. Once this is done, we pack away the equipment and leave you with happy memories.

What do I need to do before the tub arrives?

We will need clear access to get the tub to your chosen position. Please make sure the area is clear of any sharp objects that could interfere with the unit. A clearance of 7 x 7ft will be enough. Also keep any electrical items as far away as possible to avoid risk of electric shock. We will require a nearby tap and hose to fill the tub. On the day of collection a drain, or run off area for the water to be pumped out, will be necessary.

What is the cost of hire?

Our tubs are available for 3 night hires at a cost of £60:00 for the duration. For example, we can bring the tub to you on Friday and collect it on the following Monday. We respectfully request a £50.00 retainer also, in case of damage, that will be immediately refunded on collection of the undamaged unit.

Can I place the hot tub on my decking?

Unfortunately no. A full hot tub can weigh in excess of a ton. Most decking with wooden supports cannot take the weight, therefore we suggest it goes on the floor or firm flat ground.

Can we use the hot tub indoors?

Yes you can. It can be used both inside and outside. If inside is your choice, please be aware of water displacement. Ensure you have towels around the tub to catch the water! This is at your own risk.

Are the hot tubs insured?

We have £5 million Public Liability Insurance.

How much does the hot tub cost to run?

If used correctly it can cost as little as £1:50 per day. This does depend on the outside temperature and how you use the functions on the tub.

How hot is the water?

You can set the water temperature as high as 40 degrees centigrade. We recommend you set the temperature lower for children.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver across the Fylde.

We recommend.

Before using the hot tub, we advise you to have a quick shower. This will help keep the water clean for a longer period. If you have a heart condition or are pregnant, we strongly advise you seek medical advice before entering the hot tub.
